Interesting History About Computer Games


You have been playing games. Most probably, your parents had played computer games once in their young times. Though earlier games were primitive but they were regarded as advanced during the early times.

Do you know that the first computer game is probably assumed to be the game called Spacewar! developed in 1962 at MIT?

The first commercially developed video game was known as Pong (Atari 1973). Your dads and moms would have known the brand name "ATARI" at least. It was a household name then.
Pong is a simple concept that has turned out to be surprisingly durable even though the graphics are simply white rectangles on a black background. Though looked simple, it was a very engaging game that made youngsters glued to their tv and game console. Probably, owners of such gadgets are the privileged ones, not until more people were able to own them at lower pricing later on. Computer games later evolved into more sophisticated onces thanks to more advanced technologies centering on memory chips.
